Before , that I want to tell few lines about banaras , kashi or varanasi.
Banaras is one of the oldest cities in the world and the city is a centre of civilization & learning for over 3000 years and where it is famous for its culture , tradition , food , language , streets , sarees , paan and many more things .
But as we known everythings have two aspects , as banaras is also famous for its mysterious places .
1) The Kashi Vishwanath Temple
The Kashi Vishwanath Temple is a famous Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva. It is located in Vishwanath Gali, near Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. And now it known as The Kashi Corridor . The present structure , which is known as " Golden Temple " because of the gold used in the plating of its spires and domes , in 18th century it have been built by Ahilya Bai Holkar . So, if you are in varanasi must visit , " The Kashi Vishwanath Temple " .
2) The Kaal Bhairav Mandir
The " Kaal Bhairav Mandir " , also known as to be the Kotwal ( Chief Police officer ) is located as Bhat ki Gali ,Golghar, Ghasi Tola , Varanasi ( uttar pradesh ) . He is also known as officer of creation anyone , even god who want to exist in creation , needs to take his permission to exist .
3) The Vishalaskhi Temple
The temple is located at " Mir Ghat " opposite of bangs of ganga river . It is also known as Vishalakshi Gauri Temple . This temple is dedicated to ( Mata Visalakshi ) who has large eyes . She is aspect of the goddess " Parvati / Gauri mata" . It is regarded as Shakti Pitha the most scared temple dedicated to the Hindu Divine Mother.

It is located at Ck 7/12 Siddheswari gali , behind sankatha mata mandir , ghasi tola varanasi .According to kashi khand this ling was installed by Chandra ( Moon ) for worship Lord Shiva .

If you look inside the well (koop) and you are able to see your shadow in water then its fine , but if you can't see your shadow in the well then according to the religious legends you are going to die in upcoming months .
5) Sarnath Temple
It is located at Sarnath Temple Rd , varanasi (221007) . In cicra 528 BCE , at 35 year age , Gautam Buddha taught his first sermon after accomplish , enightenment at Bodh Gaya .
This sarnath temple was build by "Emperor Ashoka " . And the original name of sarnath in ancient time was - Rishipatana , Mrigadaya and Mirgadava . And in sarnath you can explore places like -

6) Mangala Gauri Mandir
It is located at K-24/34 , Panchganga ghat . Devotees reached " Bhaironath Mandir " . It is famous landmark to reach Mangala gauri temple.
Once lord Surya ( Sun ) installed a shiv ling at panchganga ghat to worship of lord shiva.

If you are in varanasi another beautiful place that you won't loose chance to explore one of the beautiful temple , opposite of banks of river ganga . The temple is always compared with the "Kedarnath Temple " of (Uttarakhand) in the Himalayas . According to Kashi Khand if you worship here it is equal to worship in "Kedarnath Temple " (Uttarakhand ).
9) Sankata Devi Mandir
It is located at " Sankata Ghat " varanasi. This is the one of the famous temple in india because this is the only temple in india dedicated to Sankata Devi ( Goddess of Danger ) . And she is the younger sister of the " Mata Vaishno Devi ".
10) Baba Kinaram Ashram
It is located at Ravindrapuri rd , near Hotel Brodway , bhelupur varanasi .
This place has its known energy and power , the vibe of " Kinaram Sthal " is totally different . Baba Kinaram was popular known as the leading saint of the Aghor tradition . And he was considered to be incarnation of lord shiva .
